Privacy Policy

Karl Parks is built by a small team. We collect the minimum we need to make the app work, and we never sell your data. Here's the full story, in plain English.

What we collect

• Email address — when you sign up for the waitlist or create an account. Used to send you product updates and account emails.
• Location — only when you actively use the app. Used to show parking conditions on blocks near you. We don't track your location in the background, and we don't store your location history on our servers.
• Anonymous usage analytics — which screens you open, how often you tap a block, etc. Used to improve the app. This data is not linked to your identity.

What we don't collect

• We don't collect your contacts, photos, microphone, or anything else iOS asks permission for unless we explicitly tell you why.
• We don't sell your data to anyone, ever.
• We don't share your personal information with third parties for their own marketing.

Third-party services we use

To run the app, we rely on a few trusted services. Each one only sees the data it needs:

• Supabase — handles authentication and database storage (your account, saved blocks, waitlist email).
• PostHog — anonymous product analytics. We use this to understand which features matter and which need work.
• RevenueCat & Apple StoreKit — manages subscriptions for Karl Parks Premium. Apple processes the payment; we never see your credit card.
• Google AdMob — used in the free tier to show ads. AdMob may collect your advertising identifier (IDFA, if you allow it) to show relevant ads.
• OneSignal — delivers push notifications when blocks you've saved open up.

Data retention

Account data is retained as long as your account is active. You can request deletion at any time by emailing us at hello@karlparks.app, and we'll delete everything tied to your account within 30 days. Anonymous analytics data is aggregated and not tied to individuals.

Your rights

You can ask us to access, export, or delete your personal data at any time. You can opt out of analytics in the app's Settings screen. You can disable location access in iOS Settings.

Children

Karl Parks is not directed at children under 13. We don't knowingly collect data from children.

Changes to this policy

If we change anything material, we'll update the effective date and notify active users by email or in-app message.
